We are so glad to let you all know that our steam punk themed store is ready, it looks amazing!

We are super excited!!!!We are so blessed to see how God has brought everything into its right place.

 We are so over whelmed and grateful don’t have words to express how wonderful the café looks. This past 3 weeks has been so amazing and one of the hardest and exciting season of our lives. Who knew that starting a café would be so hard??????

Our grand opening is on the 13^th of December 2017.

 We are thankful for the Lord as he has given us a super huge support system. So thankful we had Tabby aunty helping us with all the steam punk interior décor. We couldn’t have done it without her help. A huge thankyou to Tammyma without whom this dream would have stayed a dream and not a reality.

 A big thank you to SonsandDaughters for believing in us and supporting our vision in terms of investment into the Daily Bean in the form of finance, mentorship, guidance and prayer. We could never thank enough our K-family who helped us in setting up our business. For understanding and bearing with us and doing so  much like it was your own café. 

 There were moments we were at the point of quitting, but we thank the lord for his grace that sustained us and has got us through these past rough weeks.

Being raised up in a family that taught us to be a blessing to others we want to be able to bless the community that we’re doing the business in. We not only want to serve quality food and service but also be able to invest and share Jesus with everyone who walks into the café.

We pray that everyone who walks into the café will experience something new and feel changed. We hope to meet a lot of youth who we can invest into. We were able to thank our k-family by hosting a soft launch for them and providing dinner at the café. It helped us have an idea of how to run the café on a busy day. We learned how to take the orders and execute them successfully through this soft launch. Soo proud to have an incredible family.

In our next blog we will update you with how our business has been running and of God’s favour.

Prayer points:

1. ·         God’s hand of protection over the café.
2. ·         Relationship with our landlord and neighbours.

4. ·         As we start looking for employees we would like for God to bring us the right people to work with us and soon.
5. ·         We’ve been having a lot of issues with electricity and water and have been trying to fix it. Please pray that we’ll be able to figure out a proper system soon.
6. ·         For grace, favour and rest over the 3 of us.
7. ·         For understanding and discernment in how we handle our staff.
8. ·         That our café will be covered with God’s presence and everyone who walks in will be touched and transformed. Our influence should reach out to the neighbour hood.

This is the Lord’s doing and it is marvellous in our eyes.  Psalms 118:23 this verse has been a continuous reminder to all of us of how awesome our heavenly Father is!!.

Our Space!

We are so excited to let you all know that we finally started renovating the place. Isn’t it crazy?.. What an amazing month it has been.  It’s all coming to one piece!! It’s been a very busy month at the Daily bean. A ton of progress has been made. We got our lighting and fixtures, tiles and flooring done and ceiling has been renovated at the cafe. The kitchen is almost done.  It looks beautiful!!!!

There’s still a ton of work to be done in the dining area. Orders for our tables, chairs and crockery have been placed and we should be getting them soon. Apart from the actual structure of the cafe, we’ve been working on perfecting the recipes and getting a lot of photos taken of all our dishes. We have been also working on our finances which can be so stressful sometimes. But it’s crazy how fast things are getting done!! Next time you guys read our blog The Daily Bean would have been opened!!! And we praise God for that. 

We had lot of chance to meet with the construction workers and just have some really good conversations. It’s been an awesome opportunity to start reaching out to these people. Finding out their story and listening to them, laughing with them and getting work done at the same time. Most of them are from outer parts of Bangalore and have moved to south India for work purpose.

Over all it’s been wonderful getting to know them and sharing our story and the purpose of starting this cafe. They were happy and shocked at the same time because people usually start business for their own benefits and to help themselves have a stable and good life. They were touched to hear that we wanted to set an example to this generation by reaching out to the people who are lost and help them see and receive the gift of the father.

Day by day as we are getting ready for the grand opening of the cafe we feel so excited, stressed and nervous all at the same time. It’s so crazy how God’s bringing everything so beautifully and perfectly at his own time. We couldn’t be happier. We thank you all for your continuous support and prayers we couldn’t have come this far without it.

Fully Relying On God

It has been a pretty slow month but we are glad to share with you how we are still holding on and waiting for all the legal procedures to be done. We have been meeting with our Land lord and trying to get our lease agreements signed and verified, it has been very challenging process. We are so excited to let to know that we are almost 95% of getting our own space. Praise God for that!! After waiting so patiently for a long time we are finally blessed with it. Thank you everyone for praying for this specific need.

During this month God has been teaching us through Romans 15:13, He has taught us to hold on and keep putting our hopes completely in the Lord and not depending on our wisdom. For when we lean on him for everything we need, there is complete joy and peace despite the circumstances. We know for sure that the Holy spirit is always with us through every step we take even though we try to push him aside and try to work on own skills he is always there to remind us he is right next to us. 

 We are so excited to start renovating the whole place. We’ve been brainstorming on creative ideas for the interior design of the cafe. We finally decided that we want to go with a steam punk theme cafe. It’s been so interesting and fascinating to search and find a ton of new ideas on how we can set up our cafe using gears and industrial looking materials.

 We also started sourcing for our croceries that would go along with our theme. Next month is going to be a very busy and an awesome month for us as we start with setting up the whole cafe.

Best part of this month has been experimenting some new pies. We made pumpkin pie which was so perfect for this season. We made a chocolate cream pie which turned out so delicious and its Venilla’s favorite pie (You guys should know that hahaha!!). Guess what!! We also made this amazing lemon meringue pie, keep this in mind we had no idea what it was until we made it and tasted it. This was our first time ever making this and it was fabulous. The people who tasted it, they all loved it. We have also been experimenting on some new coffee drinks like the salted caramel mocha.

We had a great time celebrating Sridhar’s Birthday this month. We are blessed to have him a part of this journey. We went out to an Andhra style restaurant for dinner. We had a good time celebrating.

Miracle working God

This month has been an amazing month for us because we have seen God move in a mighty and miraculous way on our behalf. The miracle had a massive impact on not only our personal lives but also on our business. It has also rekindled our faith in God and has taught us to believe in his matchless power.

God is good all the time

As you all know, we have been looking at locations for the café for the past few month. We are overjoyed to let you know that we have found a place, a perfect place for the café. We are so excited and we cannot wait to start renovating it. Please pray continue praying for us.

Romans 8:28

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the images of His son, that he might be the first born among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

This has been our theme verse for the month. We feel that God has predestined us and called us to be just like him and to imitate him. We want to be faithful in whatever we do. This month has been a season of just praying harder for God to give us a word in order for us to strive in this business. There were times when we, as a team, were really discouraged and confused. But we are constantly reminded of God’s faithfulness. He’s been teaching us to be patient and believe in him.

This past month has been wonderful for the 3 of us. We got an awesome opportunity to set up a stall at a football club.  It was the first time we hosted for a large number of people.  There were almost 400 people...what a stressful and scary thing right??? But it was such a fun experience for us.  We were able to connect with a lot of new customers and it has helped us to expand our connections within our local community and outside too. We now know how to estimate the cost and outcomes of big events. This will help us create a better strategy and preparation for big events in the future. We were able to talk to people and get their feedback on our products and that has been a great help to us.

 We are so grateful and blessed to have a huge family to help us make this event a successful one, Couldn’t have done it without them. We feel so blessed!! .

We still function at home because we haven’t found a location yet but hopefully we will find a place soon. Over the course of this month we were able to draw in more customers, thanks to all the promotions we had. It has helped us increase our customer base and has given us motivation to work harder.

August is going to be a very crucial month for us, we are really grateful for all your prayers but we still need your prayers. We are praying for God’s clarity over a major decision. If you feel like the Lord is giving you a word feel free to share it with us, it will be really encouraging. We continue to hold on to his word and keep believing in his word.

Barista training & Coffee art

We would like to take this opportunity to share to you all about the events that have occurred in the past month.  With much delight, we would like to tell you about the Barista training we received. The training has not only taught us so much about the art of making a perfect cup of coffee but it has also given us a chance to develop our skills. Every day, we get closer to perfection.

We are still focusing on reaching out to new customer and expanding our customers to a larger number. We are building our connection with the customers by handing out our flyers and through word of mouth. We were able to deliver food to many big parties this month and it has been a good experience.

This month we have been moving forward at a very slow pace but we wish and hope to move faster in our endeavors to get this business up and running. 

We spend our morning’s prayer together, hearing from the word of God. These past few weeks, God has laid this verse in our hearts. 1^st Timothy 4:12 don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

Quite often, we feel that we are too young to start this business for various reasons.

 It gets hard sometimes but we want to look to God for his strength and for his word. 

We are close to completely setting up our company; the only thing remaining is the location of the cafe. We are praying for a breakthrough and we hope that you are all keeping us in your prayers too.

Tiny steps towards the big dream.

Although we had a slow progress in business this month, we are still waiting for God to show us a clear path. This has been a month of patience, endurance and faith. We have been working hard to connect with new potential customers in order for us to increase our sales. We were delighted to have new customers call and order for our items. At present, our business functions at home.

At the start of our business, we had decided to come together as a team and worship God and give him glory, regardless of how hectic our life was or would be. The past few weeks have been really busy and sometimes it was hard to focus on anything else other than the business. We were able to put our total focus on God and grow stronger as a team. 

We are blessed to have a one of the best branded coffee machine, along with a coffee grinder. We are excited and look forward to the barista training that will occur this following month. We were privileged to meet an elder who has many years of experiences in the food industry. He has agreed to be our mentor and guide. His presence in our business is a blessing from the Lord.

We still have faith and hope that God will move on our behalf, in matters relating to the location of the cafe. We pray that the location issue would be solved within this month in order for us to move on with our business.

Piece by piece!!

We want to Thank you all for your prayers and love. We have been able to achieve a lot over the past month mostly because of your prayers and support. We had mentioned on our previous blog post that we were in need of more equipment for the Daily Bean. It is by a miracle that we were able to receive it before our food taste testing day which was on 30^th April.

We worked hard for a month on perfecting our menu. It was a crucial month of testing different ingredients, flavors and presentation. We were able to see the fruit of our labor on the food tasting evening. Everyone that came enjoyed it. It was a great experience for us. It gave us an accurate picture on how our business would function, long term, day in and day out.

We were blessed to have 26 people show up for the program. Their critics on all the 20 items were of immense help. All 20 items served were carefully scrutinized, tasted, judged and rated.

 This evening proved to be beneficial in conveying our message, which is our dream to bless others as we have been blessed through our efforts in the Daily Bean, to all who had gathered for the program. We were privileged to have our brothers and sisters at k homes help us throughout the evening program. We are thankful for their willingness to help us out.

After the food taste testing event, The Daily Bean’s board of members have come up with sales targets that are needed to be met at the end of each week. This has helped us to be more focused, careful and precise. This has also helped us bridge a good relationship with our customers.
