Tiny steps towards the big dream.

Although we had a slow progress in business this month, we are still waiting for God to show us a clear path. This has been a month of patience, endurance and faith. We have been working hard to connect with new potential customers in order for us to increase our sales. We were delighted to have new customers call and order for our items. At present, our business functions at home.

At the start of our business, we had decided to come together as a team and worship God and give him glory, regardless of how hectic our life was or would be. The past few weeks have been really busy and sometimes it was hard to focus on anything else other than the business. We were able to put our total focus on God and grow stronger as a team. 

We are blessed to have a one of the best branded coffee machine, along with a coffee grinder. We are excited and look forward to the barista training that will occur this following month. We were privileged to meet an elder who has many years of experiences in the food industry. He has agreed to be our mentor and guide. His presence in our business is a blessing from the Lord.

We still have faith and hope that God will move on our behalf, in matters relating to the location of the cafe. We pray that the location issue would be solved within this month in order for us to move on with our business.

We want to Thank you all for your prayers and love. We have been able to achieve a lot over the past month mostly because of your prayers and support. We had mentioned on our previous blog post that we were in need of more equipment for the Daily Bean. It is by a miracle that we were able to receive it before our food taste testing day which was on 30^th April.

We worked hard for a month on perfecting our menu. It was a crucial month of testing different ingredients, flavors and presentation. We were able to see the fruit of our labor on the food tasting evening. Everyone that came enjoyed it. It was a great experience for us. It gave us an accurate picture on how our business would function, long term, day in and day out.

We were blessed to have 26 people show up for the program. Their critics on all the 20 items were of immense help. All 20 items served were carefully scrutinized, tasted, judged and rated.

 This evening proved to be beneficial in conveying our message, which is our dream to bless others as we have been blessed through our efforts in the Daily Bean, to all who had gathered for the program. We were privileged to have our brothers and sisters at k homes help us throughout the evening program. We are thankful for their willingness to help us out.

After the food taste testing event, The Daily Bean’s board of members have come up with sales targets that are needed to be met at the end of each week. This has helped us to be more focused, careful and precise. This has also helped us bridge a good relationship with our customers.

We want to take this time to give you an update of how much The Daily Bean has grown in the last month. We would love to share with you some good news. We have reached our financial target and the location of the cafe has been finalized and conformed.

 We would not be where we are today without the support, both through prayer and finance, you have given to The Daily Bean. We take this time to thank you all and we cannot begin to express our gratitude for your blessings.

We were able to source coffee beans from a very good plantation in Kerala. This is a big accomplishment for us in The Daily Bean as it will provide us with greater opportunities to make the best coffees that we hope to make. We have begun business with the making of the Sugar Cookies. We have received an order for over 500 of these cookies this past month.

We are still waiting for the company’s incorporation and we hope that you will continue to pray with us until we receive the incorporation. 

The Daily Bean is hosting a food tasting evening on the 30^th of April; this will aid us in deciding on what to put in our menu and on how to perfect it.
