I hope you are doing well. Thank you for your continual support and love. We just want to take this opportunity to share what God’s been doing in our lives this month. This month has been a great month.

Item of the month

Search me, O God and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts. This has been our prayer for this month. Have you ever wondered why sometimes you are in a bad mood and don’t know why? Maybe it’s because we may be struggling with some kind of strongholds, we may overlook it or ignore it. This past month as a team we decided to ask God to search our hearts and reveal to us if we had any hidden strongholds. We prayed and asked God to help us get free from them. Some of the struggles that we face as a team were self-doubt and fear of failing. God’s been so faithful in helping us by constantly reminding us these two verses.   Philippians 1:6, he who began good work in you will carry on to completion and the other one is from psalms 121:1 my help comes from the Lord maker of heaven and earth.

This month has been a fun month at daily bean. We celebrated Valentine’s Day.  It was really fun decorating a lot of heart sugar cookies and decorating valentine’s cupcakes. Our team is growing we are so happy to have two more staffs added. It was a fun process training them. We love running this Cafe. We started realizing that a good way for us to know more about running our business is to watch videos/ shows and articles about other entrepreneurs and how they run their business. We started gathering twice a month to watch these videos and discuss about it.  It’s been great learning process.

We are so excited to let you know we found a bigger place for our next store. It is much bigger than our store right now. We started talking about how we could decorate the place, how we could covert some of the space to a conference room or birthday party place. It’s so fun talking about the new place and new ideas that we can implement.  God's been so faithful in leading us. He is truly a good good father.

God leads

We hope that you are doing well. Thank you for your continual love and support. We just want to share what God’s been teaching us individually this month.

This month has been a great month for me. I am reading a devotional book called secrets of the secret place. It’s an amazing book that really helps you grow deeper in Jesus. The chapter that God has been using to teach me this month was “the secret of feeling attractive to God”. We often dress up and want to be so appealing to people. We want to look so beautiful and  attractive. This has been one of my struggles lately. One of the things that really stood out to me from this chapter was, “when you gain ownership of the fact that God is smiling on you, that he desires your company, and that he longs to be intimate with you, then the truth of that reality starts to touch your emotional chemistry, and you actually begin to feel attractive to God”. This helped me break my insecurities and find my true identity in Jesus. so  I started spending some time helping my friend break this same stronghold. 

 Isaiah 55:9, it says; As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. God’s been using this verse to teach Sridhar that God has everything planned for us. We just need to follow him and let him lead us. It’s very hard when we like planning our lives and want to figure out everything by ourselves. It’s been a difficult process for Sridhar to let go of his agenda and let God lead him. For the past month, he has been mentoring one of our younger brothers. He loves spending time praying with him and just listening to him talk about his life.

This month has been amazing for Anbalagan. He started mentoring and coaching few boys from a children’s home nearby. He loves playing football with them and listen to them talk, about their school and their passion for football. He also spends time mentoring one of our younger brothers.

God’s been so gracious over the cafe. We are so excited to let you know we started selling coffee beans on Amazon. It was a great idea to reach more customers that live outside bangalore and love our coffee beans. Another highlight of this month was we had few scenes of a kannada movie filmed in our cafe, this was awesome. It was so cool to see how they shot the scenes.

Thank you so much for praying for God’s presence over our cafe.  One of customer was just sharing his experience with us. He was having a really hard time figuring out what God wanted him to do next. Not kidding but a stranger just went over to him and prophesied over him and told him exactly what he's been praying about. It was so encouraging to hear that testimony. So thank you for praying. Prayers really do get answered.

New year greetings

We hope you are doing well. A very Happy New Year to you and your families from the three of us. We hope that this year will be a wonderful and a very adventurous one.how was your Christmas? Our Christmas was awesome.

 We want to take this opportunity to share how the past month had been. We had a great month. We had an amazing time celebrating our cafe's first birthday by decorating our cafe with balloons, giving out free sugar cookies, pie lucky draws and 10% discount whole day . We wanted to acknowledge our loyal customers, so we picked a few and made an appreciation certificates for them, we gave it to them on our first birthday party. it made them feel special. After our busy day , we spent time  thanking God for being so faithful and helping us throughout the whole year. We spent time worshiping and  reflecting on all God's promises over this cafe.

We got to host a Christmas party for our staffs. It was so fun. We played secret Santa, heads up and balloon stomp. We had a great time talking,eating amazing food, laughing and exchanging gifts. At the end of it all, We got to share about the real reason why  we celebrate Christmas with our people. it is not about gifts, food or anything else but Jesus and how he valued people and his greatest sacrifice for us to have eternal life.

Our best selling item of this month was our Christmas sugar cookies, they were so popular among our customers. We loved decorating over 500 cookies. Everybody loved them and thought they were perfect snack for Christmas parties. We also introduced a new seasonal drink for this month it's called peppermint mocha. it was fun experimenting and finally creating our own peppermint syrup.

We want to share about what God’s been talking to us as a team. He showed venilla psalms 20 for the cafe. The two things that stuck out to us was one that we should remember God in our of victories and our hard times. We always remember God in our hard times but most of time we don't in our  victories.  And two in verse 7 it talks about when we  have confidence in God we can win any battles. The closing verse talks about praying for our leaders so we spend time praying for the people above us. We want to start this year by celebrating God at all times and spend more time praying for our leaders.

Grace and Gratitude

Hooray!!... We are so excited to let you know Daily bean is celebrating its first birthday on December 13^th.

As I am writing this blog I’m just so overwhelmed. I am reminded of this verse that God gave us when we started this cafe, it’s from Zechariah 4:10. It says; Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.... what a great year it has been.  We are so grateful for God’s favour over this cafe. Honestly speaking it wasn’t easy for us to start this on our own, we have had lots of ups and downs but through it, all God was with us. He’s been so faithful and provided us with the strength that we needed. We are so thankful to God for giving us excellent mentors to guide us and help us through our hard times.
 

Celebrating Venilla Birthday

Since last December God’s shown himself to be our teacher. He’s also shown himself to be a leader since he set that example, we are able to be leaders like him. It’s really encouraging to see our employees try to follow in our footsteps in our work ethics, responsibilities and our relationship with each other. We can’t wait to see what God’s going to show him as in 2019.

  We want to wish all of you all a very blessed Christmas and that this season will be a wonderful time with your loved ones.

Hope you are doing well. We’ve had a crazy yet a wonderful month. Our sales have gone up and we have been getting bigger orders. Our best selling products this month were the pumpkin pie, pumpkin spiced latte and the pumpkin cupcake. We introduced a new drink this month, it's called peppermint mocha. It's been a big hit amongst the customers.

One of the hardest things in business is losing good employees. This month we lost two of our employees. It was really fun to have them working with us. We loved spending time with them. Sridhar spent time mentoring them and guiding them to grow deeper in Jesus.

To celebrate our big day, we are having free pies lucky draws, 10% discounts, free Christmas sugar cookies and acknowledging our loyal customers. We are so excited and can’t wait to let you know how our celebration went in our next blog. We are expecting it to be a big celebration.

We are so grateful for the employees that stuck with us from the beginning. We see a lot of growth in them. We are so amazed at how God used some of them to teach us also. During our staff meetings, we ask one of our employees to share what God’s been teaching them in that month.

This month Manju shared about how God gives talents according to our abilities and how we need to use it to our fullest. This was really encouraging to us as we can apply this to our employees and help them work accordingly. We love our team and are proud to see how much they have grown this past month.

Celebrating God's Goodness

Greetings from Venilla, Anbalagan and Sridhar.

How are y’all doing? We at the daily bean are doing awesome. Thank you for your continuous support and love.  We had an amazing month. We went to the Golden triangle, visited the Taj Mahal, Jaipur and Pushkar. It was beautiful.  It was such a blessing to be with the whole family. We were celebrating the 20^th anniversary of our home. God has been so faithful in leading the home for 20 beautiful and adventurous years. We got to spend time with our brothers and sisters that live away from home. It was an amazing trip.  We were also refreshed and are able to work better since being back after a week of break from the business.

We finally started roasting our coffee beans. It was a fun learning process.  We had fun trying to roast different kinds of coffee beans. We love using our coffee roaster. It has a very cool look to it. We want to be able to roast coffee beans for customers and grow our business this way. 

Amazing news that we want to share is that Sridhar got engaged on 6th October.  We love his fiancé and are so happy for them. Pray for them as they go through this season of getting themselves ready for marriage.

We are excited for the season that’s ahead of us. It’s crazy that it’s going to be almost a year since we started daily bean. It looks like we just started a few days ago. What a blessing to go through this adventurous year with God leading us day by day. Thank you for praying for us. Prayer makes a huge impact on our business. We feel so blessed to be covered by prayers. When we compare our first few months to the present months, we see a ton of growth in our business. We are so happy to be doing what we love to do. We have hired a few more members to our team, so happy that we get to be a part of their lives.

September Update

Hope you are doing well. Thank you for taking your time to read our blog.

We want to take this opportunity to share how the past month has been. We have seen so much growth in our business. We are so thankful to God for constantly taking care of us and giving us the right wisdom to help our business move forward. We have introduced our very special Pumpkin spiced latte and our very own pumpkin spiced cupcakes. This has been a great hit among our customers. We can’t wait to introduce our Pumpkin pie this following November.

This past month 3 of our employees choose to move forward in their dreams. It was wonderful working with them. We are so happy that we got to spend time talking to them and encouraging them as they continue to follow their dreams. It’s so awesome that we get to play an older brother/sister role in their lives.

We are super proud of Sakthivel, one of our best employees who left recently. He started working in a gym. His passion is to become a professional gym trainer. He’s doing a great job and loves what he is doing.  We also loved having Retina and Kekhrie with us. They were working with us as part-time employees. They study in an animation school. It was so fun working with them because they always asked a lot of interesting questions about Jesus. It was a great time for us to share our testimony.  Ritika is from a Hindu family. It was so interesting to see how curious she was about Jesus. She knew who Jesus was because she heard some stories, but she was really confused about how we could have a relationship with a God that can’t be seen and how that’s even possible.

We had a fun/good time answering those questions even though some questions were hard to answer. We are so happy that she’s curious and we got to share Jesus with her.  She still comes to the cafe often and we get to talk to her and answer her questions. It’s really nice that we get to still keep the connection.

This month we got to celebrate Sridhar’s birthday. So thankful for all the hard work he does for business. We are so thankful for his leadership skills and his servant's heart. This month we also had a wedding in our beautiful family. It was such a beautiful celebration.

Reconstructing Our Identity in Christ

I hope you all are doing well. Thank you for your continual support and love.  We are so blessed with so many people covering us in prayer as we run the cafe.

Guess everybody needs to take time to renew their hearts and look back at how God’s been leading you so faithfully. It’s so important!

Jesus at the centre of our identity

This past month has been a very refreshing month.  We attended the sons and daughters retreat which was by far one of the best things that happened this year. It was a time where we didn’t have to worry about the cafe and just focus on Jesus. We were able to focus on our identities in Jesus rather than our identities in the cafe which was a real struggle for the three of us. We are so happy that we got free from that. It was incredible to hear from our brothers, sisters and friends (who attended the retreat) about their work in the mission fields. It was encouraging to listen to their hearts, their joy and struggles. We had an amazing time praying and prophesying over each other.

We were able to share our hearts with the others and let them pray over us and hear from God for the three of us. We had a powerful time praying over the cafe and acknowledging God’s goodness over the cafe. To be honest we’ve grown a ton in the management of the business compared to the first few months where we were not sure about so many things. Guess you learn a ton from experiences. Overall, we are very thankful to Jesus for his unfailing love, mercy and guidance over these 8months.

We had a great time at our monthly staff meeting this month. It was a blessing to hear from Manju as she shared about what God’s had been teaching her this month. We started letting our employees take turn and share about what God’s been teaching them. We want to give them an opportunity to share and bless the others. She spoke from Psalms 27:14. It says wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. It was really encouraging because one of our employees was struggling with this and she was asking God to speak to her and after Manju spoke it was like a confirmation of her prayers.

We also started taking the time to have one on one with our employees.  We usually take them out for a small snack or lunch and we spend time talking about their lives and praying for them.

The business is doing really good. Our newest item is the pumpkin spiced latte which has been a crazy hit amongst our customers. We love to talk to our customers and get their feedback. We still love doing what we are doing.

Here are a few of our prayer requests:

1.       Pray for the three of us to continually be focused on Jesus and not let our identities get messed up.  

2.       Pray for our team that we would continually keep lifting each one of them up and be able to speak life into them as well.

3.       Pray for our landlord that we would have favour with him in every way possible.

4.       Pray for the word that was spoken over our team that we would continually learn to wait on the Lord for all his perfect will to take place.

5.       Pray for The Holy Spirit to dwell in our cafe at all time and that every customer will continually be blessed as they walk through our doors.
