New place,new journey!

Greetings from Venilla, Anbalagan and Sridhar.

Hope you are doing well! This month has been an amazing month for the daily bean team . If you guys don’t know... We have some great news! One, We have finally moved out of the old place. Two ,we have moved into a much better and bigger place. We are almost done with setting up the new place and it looks amazing. Thanks to Tabby aunty and her friends from America who helped us with setting up the cafe. They were a huge blessing to us. There’s no words to describe how amazing our God is. He was so faithful in providing us the money to build and set up this cafe. We are so grateful to the people who gave money towards building this new incredible place.Thank you so much for listening to God and choosing to support us. We are excited to announce that our grand opening will be on the 15th of August. The cafe is  three times bigger than the previous one and it is a huge blessing for us. The kitchen is my personal favourite. It’s huge and spacious. I will definitely let you all know how the grand opening day goes on our next blog.

 Anbalagan - “It has been a blessed month to see God’s faithfulness in providing for our new building. It is great to see how God has been in control of the whole process. It is incredible how he knows exactly what we need and provides us with everything necessary, at the right time. We are beyond blessed to be able to walk with him into this new and exciting journey. We can’t believe that we have moved into a much bigger place so soon. I am very thankful and blessed. No matter how big the storm or the situation might be, we know that we have God’s favor on us and that he has complete control of everything that comes our way.”

Sridhar - “This past month has been super busy with all the preparations for the new venue. Despite all the moving and chaos, it has a wonderful process to see how God unfolds his blessings and put everything together. During this new season for my wife Shoba and I, we have been learning to depend on God for his wisdom, especially with her transition from her old job to her new one. God has been so faithful through all our ups and downs. We are very blessed and thankful. God has always been good to us and this has been a very comforting promise to the both of us. Please continue praying for us as we move into this new season, both personally and professionally”.

Venilla - “This season, God has been teaching me to depend on him and not to lean on my own understanding. I have become a child again and am experiencing the joy of asking my heavenly father to take care of all my needs. He has not failed me and I am blessed to have him as my father. His faithfulness amazes me everyday. He has given us the wisdom and much needed guidance to work out everything in order for us to move into the new place.  For this season this verse has been very close to my heart. 

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways submit to him,and he will make your paths straight.-  Proverbs 3:5-6

New Beginning's

This past month was wonderful, a fresh start for the three of us. We have had a crazy experience
working with super small kitchen space, despite all the craziness, God is teaching us to have better
relationship with our employees and learn to work better as one team.

Its been so fun and very helpful to have Eliyah working with us for a few months. He has been helping us with our new build-out and at our present store.

The month has been filled with God's faithfulness. The construction of the new place is going well.

Jesus provides for us at the right time for all the work. It's been a journey filled with his faithfulness
for the three us, as he is shaping us and guiding us in this new journey as well. Jessica and Anbalagan
got to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in Thailand. They got an opportunity to help their friend's ministry.

They got to share their testimony as well as play football with kids. The whole trip was so refreshing as Anbalagan got to explore a new culture. This was his first international trip. God's been so faithful in providing and taking care of them over this past year.

This month God has been teaching Venilla about how the three of us need to focus on being rooted
deep in his word. He spoke to her through the tree that is planted right in front of our new place.
The tree looked so beautiful. It looked so green and new. God was reminding her that the deep the
three of us grow in Christ the more fruits we would be able to bear through him.

Psalms chapter 1:2- 3 talks about how when we meditate on his word and walk in his ways we will prosper. He compares a person that is very committed to him and walks in his ways to a tree that is planted near the streams that produce fruits and whose leaf does not wither and whatever he does prosper. It was such an encouragement to me that God used our own tree to speak life into us. We believe that God is in this and will help us succeed.

For me( Sridhar) I had an incredible month. I finally got married on the 14th of June. It was so
beautiful. Both our families celebrated with us on our wedding day. I was able to connect with
Shobha's family as well and get to know them better. Shobha and I are slowly starting to set up our
house and learning what it is to be married. I am very grateful for all your prayers and blessing over
me and Shobha as we were blessed beyond our imaginations.

1. Please continue to pray for us as we settle everything with our previous landlord.
2. Please pray for the 3 of us as we focus more on our new location and that all the work will finish
up smoothly without any major problems.
3. Please pray for Venilla as she continues to learn from God’s word and as she helps lead the Daily
bean family.
4. Please pray for Anbalagan and Jessi, for continual guidance, protection and provision over their
marriage and their personal lives as well.
5. Please pray for Sridhar and Shobha; “We will continually put Jesus in the centre of our marriage
and for the father's guidance and for his wisdom to lead the both of us”.
6. Please pray for our Daily Bean crew as we go through a major change in the coming days.

God's Perfect Timing

Hello! We hope that you and your family are doing well. We are thankful for your time in hearing our stories from this month and dedicating yourselves to praying for each of us individually, as a team, and for our business. It is so amazing to look back to where we have started, to reflect at where we are now, and to look ahead to the blessings of the future and see how God is continually shaping, molding, and teaching us to be throughout it all. It's a blessing to see the direction that the Daily Bean is growing in!

We all go through dry and rough seasons. This month, God's been teaching Venilla about the secret of endurance. God wants her to continuously seek Him even when things get messed up or go wrong. It's easy to endure in the good times. It's when the hard times hit that our endurance is proven. When Jesus went through the process of preparing himself before he was going to be crucified, He first prayed. This was how Jesus endured His pain: through praying. It reminded Venilla of how important it is for her to do the same when she goes through difficult situations. God has been so faithful to her in helping her go after Him no matter what the situation is. Venilla has started talking and praying with a few of her friends, helping them to grow deeper in Jesus. At the end of the day, He is so worth it. 

This past month has been a crazy one for Sridhar! It has been really challenging to balance both work and personal life as he is getting ready to walk into a new season. God has been really faithful to Sridhar. He provided him with the wisdom and strength he needed to make the right decisions and get through this month. It's been a very emotional month as well for him personally because of all the craziness that’s been going on with the current cafe space. Sridhar is very blessed and excited for this upcoming season that God has for him. Please continue to uphold Sridhar and Shobha in your prayers as they learn to be married and balance work life as well.

Reconstruction of the kitchen space

It's been a challenging month for me (Anbalagan), as we have had to deal with our present landlord. We had to be strong and rooted to carry on for the next two months, as he has shortened our kitchen. We have to work with a new kitchen on the other side of the building, but by God's grace we can overcome the situation, even though we didn't want to give him the place that he required. I have learned through this situation to be patient and know that God has His own perfect plan for the Daily Bean in his own time. We were able to find a perfect new location for our cafe, and we even signed the new agreement with the new land within a month! We also have started the construction for the new place. We are so excited to see what else God has in store for us and our cafe.

1) A prayer of thanksgiving that we found our new location, signed the new lease, and began construction! 

2) Pray that this process would go smoothly as we continue to manage the current space for the next few months, oversee the construction process, and look into shifting the cafe to the new space soon.

4) Pray that God's perfect timing for everything would unfold.

5) Pray for supernatural peace and the presence of God over the cafe, the business, our team, meetings, and decisions we make.

Being rooted

Greetings from Venilla, Anbalagan and Sridhar

We hope you are doing well. Thank you so much for your continuous support, prayers and love. We are so blessed. Thank you for being a part of our story and helping us follow our dreams.

We are learning so much about becoming better leaders and running the cafe. We are able to constantly mentor our staffs and encourage them to grow deeper in Jesus. We see a lot of growth in our team. One of our constant prayer requests has been for unity among the three of us and the team. We believe that God’s been so faithful in uniting us and helping us work as a team.

This month has been a little more challenging for us. God is been teaching us as a team to be more rooted in him even when a storm comes we will be still standing strong. Sometimes when things don’t happen the way you want them to, you get so frustrated and blame others for your problems. This month we faced a situation where we were so frustrated with each other and blame each other for a mistake, we didn’t expect it to happen but it did. We got so defensive and questioned God. During this problem, we were able to see God’s goodness and his faithfulness over the cafe. We spent a lot of time praying over the cafe and asking God to heal our hearts from being so bitter. We are still learning to become better owners of this cafe. God’s been so gracious with us and moulding us to become a better version of us.

 

We are still looking for a bigger space for our cafe. We have some options available to us but not sure exactly what God wants us to choose. We ask you to pray that God will show us clearly the place that he wants us to start the cafe in. We also want to completely trust God in this decision. God has been using Isaiah 45:2-3 as we pray for the building. Isaiah 45:2-3 talks about how God will go before us and he will make a way. He will clear the way and destroy anything that opposes us. He will make the path straight. We believe that God is making a new way for us.

 Sridhar will be getting married in a few weeks. We are so happy for him and can’t wait to see his big day. This season God has been so faithful in leading him and his fiancé as they prepare for their wedding day. Pray for them as they seek God to lead their marriage. Pray for more peace and rest. Pray that God will financially bless them. And the most important thing is to pray that they will enjoy this season of preparing for their wedding and not be stressed.

Quality time

 This month God’s been teaching Anbalagan to stay more rooted in Christ. He wants to be in a place where he is so connected with God that even if anything happens, his faith wouldn’t be shaken or questioned. God’s been teaching him to completely believe in him and depend on him. Sometimes when we work so hard to get something and don’t get it we feel like we don’t deserve to get it. We feel pity for ourselves but God’s been faithful to Anbalagan and helped him to draw closer to him and trust him in the process.

Thailand trip

This month has been an amazing month for me; I took a week off from work. I went to Thailand and got to have a really nice quality time with my mom. The food in Thailand is amazing. Their street food is the best thing about Thailand. The sticky rice with mango on it and coconut milk poured over are so heavenly. I got to pamper myself with an hour awesome foot massage. It felt so great. I also got a chance to met my mentor and spend time loving her baby. It’s awesome what they are doing in Thailand. They adapted to their culture and learned their language so they can easily share the gospel to the local people.

The thing that really stuck out to me was the way the Thai people loved and respected their king, it made me love my king Jesus even more. How awesome is our king than theirs? he deserves all our love and devotion. I had a great time in Thailand.

This month has been an amazing month for me;

 I started really investing my time in mentoring my little sisters. It’s been really interesting to hear them talk about their lives. They see life in a complete different perspective than how we do. I actually learned so much from them. It brings me so much joy praying for them and helping them with their problems. I still love what I’m doing.

This past month God has helped Sridhar to walk into a new season. We all have that moment where we need to stop and hit that reset button, and focus on the important things of life. He felt he really needed to turn his focus on God and on past events or insecurities. God has been so patient with him in helping him make a fresh start . During this process of confessing and healing he was able to walk in forgiveness and let go of past events that has been bothering him for a really long time. He felt more peaceful and happier. Psalms 121 has been a very encouraging passage that helped him constantly remind him that there is a living God that cares for the littlest things and thinks it’s so important to help people like him. The father knows exactly what his kids need and gives it to them. This month God provided him with a new house where he and shobha will be living after they get married. Right now he stays there, decorating the house. This has been an amazing month for him.

This month God has been teaching anbalagan to trust God and hold on to his promises. For the past few months he has been dealing with fear and worrying about what people think about him. This month he has been really working on these insecurities and asking abba to help him overcome them. This month has been an extra awesome month was because he started investing more of his time studying and learning about coffee. It’s been really nice having people who are in the coffee business for more than ten years share about their experiences with him.  He spends time learning the different kinds of roasting coffee beans, various flavours. He has been working a lot on perfecting our house blend coffee beans. His interest in coffee has grown drastically over the past months. Can’t wait for him to become a coffee expert.

Great news!! The daily bean is now open 7 days a week. It’s been really great that we opened the cafe all days. We started getting more sales. Our customers are really happy that we are open all days. Our employees have better more adequate at their jobs.  We finally got a kitchen manager who oversees all the orders and recipes. This has been an answered prayer. She’s very talented and very commitment to the work.  We have started thinking about our new place.  We have been looking for new interior designs for the cafe. We started looking for better equipment that we need for the cafe. This place is almost thrice as big as our old one. We started raising more funds with help of our mentors. It’s been quite a busy month.

I hope you are doing well. Thank you for your continual support and love. We just want to take this opportunity to share what God’s been doing in our lives this month. This month has been a great month.

Item of the month

Search me, O God and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts. This has been our prayer for this month. Have you ever wondered why sometimes you are in a bad mood and don’t know why? Maybe it’s because we may be struggling with some kind of strongholds, we may overlook it or ignore it. This past month as a team we decided to ask God to search our hearts and reveal to us if we had any hidden strongholds. We prayed and asked God to help us get free from them. Some of the struggles that we face as a team were self-doubt and fear of failing. God’s been so faithful in helping us by constantly reminding us these two verses.   Philippians 1:6, he who began good work in you will carry on to completion and the other one is from psalms 121:1 my help comes from the Lord maker of heaven and earth.

This month has been a fun month at daily bean. We celebrated Valentine’s Day.  It was really fun decorating a lot of heart sugar cookies and decorating valentine’s cupcakes. Our team is growing we are so happy to have two more staffs added. It was a fun process training them. We love running this Cafe. We started realizing that a good way for us to know more about running our business is to watch videos/ shows and articles about other entrepreneurs and how they run their business. We started gathering twice a month to watch these videos and discuss about it.  It’s been great learning process.

We are so excited to let you know we found a bigger place for our next store. It is much bigger than our store right now. We started talking about how we could decorate the place, how we could covert some of the space to a conference room or birthday party place. It’s so fun talking about the new place and new ideas that we can implement.  God's been so faithful in leading us. He is truly a good good father.

God leads

Greetings from Venilla, Anbalagan and Sridhar

We hope that you are doing well. Thank you for your continual love and support. We just want to share what God’s been teaching us individually this month.

This month has been a great month for me. I am reading a devotional book called secrets of the secret place. It’s an amazing book that really helps you grow deeper in Jesus. The chapter that God has been using to teach me this month was “the secret of feeling attractive to God”. We often dress up and want to be so appealing to people. We want to look so beautiful and  attractive. This has been one of my struggles lately. One of the things that really stood out to me from this chapter was, “when you gain ownership of the fact that God is smiling on you, that he desires your company, and that he longs to be intimate with you, then the truth of that reality starts to touch your emotional chemistry, and you actually begin to feel attractive to God”. This helped me break my insecurities and find my true identity in Jesus. so  I started spending some time helping my friend break this same stronghold. 

 Isaiah 55:9, it says; As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. God’s been using this verse to teach Sridhar that God has everything planned for us. We just need to follow him and let him lead us. It’s very hard when we like planning our lives and want to figure out everything by ourselves. It’s been a difficult process for Sridhar to let go of his agenda and let God lead him. For the past month, he has been mentoring one of our younger brothers. He loves spending time praying with him and just listening to him talk about his life.

This month has been amazing for Anbalagan. He started mentoring and coaching few boys from a children’s home nearby. He loves playing football with them and listen to them talk, about their school and their passion for football. He also spends time mentoring one of our younger brothers.

God’s been so gracious over the cafe. We are so excited to let you know we started selling coffee beans on Amazon. It was a great idea to reach more customers that live outside bangalore and love our coffee beans. Another highlight of this month was we had few scenes of a kannada movie filmed in our cafe, this was awesome. It was so cool to see how they shot the scenes.

Thank you so much for praying for God’s presence over our cafe.  One of customer was just sharing his experience with us. He was having a really hard time figuring out what God wanted him to do next. Not kidding but a stranger just went over to him and prophesied over him and told him exactly what he's been praying about. It was so encouraging to hear that testimony. So thank you for praying. Prayers really do get answered.
